Sharp County Jail Roster
The official current-custody path for Sharp County inmate records is the Sharp County Sheriff's Office roster page, which links into the RPS/MyR2M roster. The roster is public, free to view, and does not require a login. The sheriff's jail materials name Sheriff Shane Russell as the elected sheriff. At the research inspection, the current roster displayed "All Current Inmates" and showed a default page of entries drawn from a larger current list. It also carried RPS and Relativity Inc. branding, which explains why an official Sharp County jail roster may open on a vendor domain rather than only on the sheriff's own site.
Sharp County inmate records on the county roster are local jail records. They cover people held at the Sharp County Detention Center, including new arrests, warrant holds, weekend custody, people awaiting court action, short local sentences, and holds for other agencies. They do not replace the Arkansas Department of Corrections locator for sentenced state prisoners, the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for federal inmates, or ICE ODLS for immigration detention. When a name is missing from the Sharp County jail roster, that absence should be treated as a search clue, not proof that no custody record exists.
The research did not locate a posted refresh schedule for the RPS roster. It did locate separate tabs for current inmates, new inmates, and recent releases, plus a recent-release label for inmates released in the last 48 hours. That matters because older bookings are not presented as a full public archive in the online roster. For a very new arrest, a common-name issue, or a release question, the jail phone line and records request path become part of the Sharp County inmate records search.

- Change the page size or use First, Previous, Next, and Last to move beyond the default entries.
- Read the entry for photo, name, race, sex, age, arrest date, arresting agency, charges, bond, court date, and court.
- If the person is not listed, call the jail, check DOC, BOP, ICE, or VINELink, or request records from the sheriff's office.
For many users, the key is the tab choice. A person arrested by the Sharp County Sheriff's Office, Ash Flat Police Department, Cave City Police Department, or another local agency may appear first under New Inmates and then remain under Current Inmates while in custody. A person who has bonded out, transferred, or otherwise left local custody may appear only in the recent-release tab for a short time. For older Sharp County inmate records, the online roster is not the full record request path.
Sharp County Roster Controls
The Sharp County jail roster search controls are specific enough to document because they differ from many name-search portals. The inspected roster page did not provide booking-number, date-of-birth, charge, court, arresting-agency, or housing filters. The Select Name dropdown may still be efficient if the person is listed. If a name is misspelled, an alias was used, or the arrest is too recent to appear, the jail phone line is the more reliable next step.

Sharp County Inmate Record Fields
A public Sharp County inmate record is a roster-entry display, not a full jail file. It gives enough information to identify a listed person, understand why the person is held, and find the next court or bond clue. It does not show every field that may exist inside the jail's internal records. The inspected entries did not show booking number, full date of birth, housing unit, complete court case number, or warrant number.

Charge labels on Sharp County inmate records are booking-side labels. A booking charge can differ from the formal charge later filed in court. Bond values on the roster also need care. The Arkansas DOC search form uses fields such as ADC Number, county, last name, first name, facility, gender, offense category, age, race, and a required disclaimer checkbox. A Sharp County resident who is sentenced to prison may leave the county roster and later appear in DOC. The opposite is also true. A new arrest may be in the county jail but not in DOC because there is no state sentence.
Sharp County Jail Facility
Sharp County has one documented local detention facility in the research file: the Sharp County Detention Center. No separate city jail, regional jail, work-release annex, state prison, federal facility, or ICE detention facility was found as a physical Sharp County detention site. The Detention Center is the place to confirm local custody, front-desk records access, lobby visits, and jail communications. Sharp County Booking Records
Sharp County does not publish a full local booking manual, but the roster, jail page, Arkansas detention standards, and recent local reporting support the main sequence. A person arrested by a sheriff's deputy, city police officer, or another agency is lodged at the Sharp County Detention Center when the county jail is the holding point. The jail creates the intake record, captures or attaches the booking photo, records identifying information, lists charges or hold reasons, and posts court or bond fields when those values are available for the public roster.
Arkansas Criminal Detention Facility Standards require intake and release areas, secure intake handling, classification, and a jail log or detention record that accurately reflects intake and population data. That standard helps explain why Sharp County inmate records include arrest date, arresting agency, charge, and release fields, even though internal details such as medical screening, property inventory, housing placement, and full warrant data are not posted to the public roster. Sharp County Visitation Rules
Sharp County inmate records often lead to practical next steps: confirming custody before a visit, scheduling a lobby kiosk visit, mailing a letter, or setting up phone and video service. The sheriff's jail page says visitation is available in the Sheriff's Office lobby during regular weekday business hours, excluding holidays. Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance, and each inmate receives one free kiosk visit per week. Visitors and vehicles are subject to search on sheriff and jail premises.

Identification, dress code, visitor-list approval, child-visitor rules, and remote video rates were not found in the published Sharp County text. Call before travel. The sheriff's jail page also warns that furnishing prohibited articles to inmates is a felony and will be prosecuted.
Contact Sharp County Inmates
Mail for a person in the Sharp County Detention Center should use the sheriff-published format: Inmate Name, c/o Sharp County Detention Center, P.O. Box 157, Ash Flat, AR 72513. The jail page also states that current prescription medication must be in the original bottle with directions, and medical staff handle inmate medical needs. Do not send books, packages, medication, or other items without calling the jail first because the located sheriff materials did not publish a full package or scanned-mail policy.
Phone calls, video calls and visits, messages, and movies are routed through NCIC Inmate Communications. The sheriff page names NCIC but does not publish a complete rate table, so current prices and account rules should be checked with NCIC. Commissary and trust account funds are different from phone accounts. The sheriff page says commissary funds must be cash, cashier's checks, or approved money orders, and the inmate's trust balance is returned by check on release. Online commissary purchases and money add-ons are handled through Tiger Commissary.
Sharp County FOIA Requests
When Sharp County inmate records are not visible online, the sheriff's FAQ points requesters to the Sheriff's Office or jail front desk. Accident and incident reports taken by a county officer are on file at the jail and can be requested for $10 per report during weekday business hours. Reports taken by a city officer must be requested from that city police department. Arkansas State Police reports route to Troop Headquarters, and the FAQ gives 870-523-2701 for that route.
Arkansas FOIA, Ark. Code Ann. 25-19-105, allows public-record requests by in-person, phone, mail, fax, email, or electronic means provided by the custodian. Requests must be specific enough for the custodian to locate the record. The same law and the sheriff's FAQ recognize limits. Open investigations, some personnel records, juvenile records, sealed or expunged records, and ACIC/NCIC criminal-history information may be withheld or routed elsewhere. The sheriff's office also says it will not compile statistical or comparative data for requesters.

Sharp County App Options
The Sharp County roster page advertises the RPS-Inmate Info mobile app through Apple and Google app badges. The app listing describes RPS jail booking and mugshot information, inmate or prisoner information by city and county, name, picture, arrested location, arrested date, released date, charges, PBR, and court date. It also advertises newest 24-hour arrested and released views, nearest-jail features, jail hours, address, website, visitation rules, and map or direction tools.
The web roster already shows Sharp County current inmates, new inmates, recent releases, photos, charges, bond, and court dates, so the RPS app should be treated as a mobile access channel rather than a separate sheriff-run database. For notifications, use Arkansas VINE or VINELink. Arkansas VINE is described as free, anonymous, available around the clock, and connected to county jail offenders, DOC inmates, supervision offenders, and some court information.
